Audio Software Programmer

The ideal candidate focus will be on the development and maintenance of audio systems and tools for the next generation gaming consoles. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a solid audio software background to apply their knowledge to the games industry.

Specific Duties / Responsibilities
• Design and implement new in-game audio systems
• Develop the audio tools and pipeline
• Work closely with the Sound Director to get music and effects into the game
• Interface with the audio team to integrate low level audio features into the game on an ongoing basis

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering, equivalent technical degree, or industry experience
• 2+ year(s) of professional programming experience
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team

Technical Skills
• Strong C/C++/.NET programming skills
• Solid software engineering skills
• Knowledge of how audio fits in game architectures and pipelines
• Experience with Wwise is an asset

Bonus Skills
• Passion for games and software development
• Shipped previous console game titles
• Experience with video game audio content creation or traditional sound experience (music, sfx, studio, musician, etc)
