PlayStation LifeStyle gets hands-on with this upcoming title and says, “After playing quite a few races and battles, I can safely say this is a karting game within the LittleBigPlanet universe.”

And in terms of customization, “You can choose the materials your car is made of, which wouldn’t feel out of place in LBP 2 – cardboard, soda cans, paper clips, and more. You can also decide how your car actually moves, whether that’s regular tires, a hovercraft, a zeppelin, or something else entirely. United Front Games got the whole feel of the LittleBigPlanet world intact.”

IGN talks about LittleBigPlanet Karting and says this “isn’t the game you might expect.”

One highlight in the article is what players are able to create, “Like any good LittleBigPlanet game, Karting features a wide array of customization options, allowing players to create tracks, characters and even weapons from scratch. Customization is controlled through the same Popit menu found in LittleBigPlanet, and everything from steering wheels to horn sounds to chassis can be replaced while customizing karts within the Pod.”

“This is one example of what makes Karting unique. While plenty of games feature a track creator or allow characters to be dressed up, LittleBigPlanet Karting gives players access to the same level editor as the game’s designers. Nearly every element of a course can be controlled, from the frequency of weapon spawns to the appearance of the track itself. This fits perfectly in a franchise famous for letting players build things from scratch.”

William discusses many aspects of the game, including play modes, customization, and more. He says, “If you like playing kart racing games multi-player, we’ve got you covered. We’ve got the amazing living room party experience, so you can have up to four players playing split screen in LittleBigPlanet Karting. And if you’re online on the PlayStation network, you can play with up to eight Sackboys online competitively and cooperatively through our story mode.”

JTM Games interviews Sleeping Dogs‘ Producer, Dan Sochan, about the upcoming game.

When asked about its title, he explains, “We wanted to go with something that was a little more cinematic-sounding. So we spent a lot of time in the game making a strong story and narrative with lots of character development to really try to get the player inside the head of what would it be like to become an undercover police officer.”

He continues, “I think with our approach with the game, it makes Sleeping Dogs much different from a lot of the open-world titles where the story is just tacked on … with our game, we have a strong goal and story for the player, and the titleSleeping Dogs reflects that.”

It is obvious that a lot of work has gone into the combat for this game and it pays off with an enjoyable and satisfying experience.”

Dan Sochan, a producer on Sleeping Dogs, is interviewed at PAX East by Press Play. He talks extensively about the game, including how players will experience moving throughout the virtual world: “Free-running was a huge aspect of the game. We really wanted the player to feel like a martial arts action hero, so — ‘How would they traverse this terrain?’ So we really designed a lot of the city with that in mind, and the on-foot experience. The player is able to soak in the culture and the history of the city while, at the same time, climbing, free-running, and fighting their way through the city.”
